Damien Cave, in a piece posted online yesterday that is part-restaurant review, part-people watching, part-news story, describes the resurgence of early bird dining, focusing on Cafe Prima Pasta in North Beach, and a few other joints elsewhere in Florida. Turns out that the specials are attracting a wide swath of diners, not just the grand-folks.
Cave’s description of diners include: “the restaurant’s only diner with a nose stud and dyed red hair,” “an aesthetician with cover girl looks,” and “a musician with a shaved head.” I dunno, sounds like grandmothers and grandfathers to me…
So, are any of you making reservations for 5:30pm tonight?
