Let’s cut right to the chase. As Lesley Abravanel posted on Miami.com, Danny Serfer (of Blue Collar) and I are opening an oyster bar called Mignonette. Located in the Edgewater neighborhood, the restaurant’s menu will include an extensive selection of east coast and west coast oysters, additional raw bar offerings, classic cooked preparations like Oysters Rockefeller and Clams Casino, caviar, a veggie menu, prime rib, and more. We’ve got a wine list curated by sommelier Allegra Angelo, a beer list curated by certified cicerone (beer somm) Josh Hubner, and music by Lolo Reskin (Sweat Records/Imagesound Americas).
Right now we are on track for a June opening date and we can’t wait to share more information with you as we get closer to opening our doors.
As for the future direction of the blog, I won’t be ranking Mignonette or Blue Collar, and it may evolve in other ways as time progresses. But I’ll keep this little piece of electronic real estate for the timebeing.
I hope you’ll come visit us this summer and watch Danny shucking oysters at the bar. I’m told he’ll be sporting suspenders.
