Always trust your instincts. That’s the lesson this morning.
MRPR previously surmised that Gigigi (the 2nd location of Gigi) might be opening at the Newer World Symphony building (that’s the new location), and we were right! We doubted ourselves when a reader posited that “Gigi Village MB” might be a cleverly disguised reference to Mary Brickell Village, but sorry Brickell, it’s just not so.
Short Order is “exclusively” reporting this news based upon notes from a public hearing before the Miami Beach City Commission and a resolution regarding the new lease.
As for the mysteriously-named “Gigi Village MB,” that is a reference to “Gigi Village,” the name of the new South Beach location, which Short Order says will “include a Gigi Burger & Bar, Gigi Minibar, and Gigi Coffee & Bakery.”
Just like my SAT tutor once told me, always trust your first instinct.
