♦ Short Order breaks some really big news over the holidays, announcing that Chef Philippe Ruiz has left the Biltmore Hotel’s flagship restaurant, Palme d’Or. A location has not been secured, but a Brickell address is in the running.”
♦ Some more year end superlatives were published last week. The Chowfather hits a triple, with his best dishes, best meals, and “tiers of excellence” rankings. Meanwhile, Lee Klein provides a 2011 Miami restaurant retrospective in the Miami New Times.
