While continuing to helm Red Light Little River in the MiMo/Upper East Side neighborhood, Eater Miami shared word that Kris Wessel will be opening a second restaurant at the James Hotel (formerly the Royal Palm Hotel) on South Beach. Like a character out of Pretty Woman, Wessel is taking his wares from the seedy red light district of Biscayne Boulevard to the classy escort-laden sands of Collins Avenue. The restaurant will feature “regional offerings” and “early thoughts on dishes include frog legs bathed in lime leaves, lychee roasted quail and mango pie.” Projected opening date? October 2012. Stay tuned.
