QUICK HITS:

♦ Last week, chef Michael Bloise announced on Twitter that he is no longer working at Sushi Samba, which answers the age old question, “Is Michael Bloise still working at Sushi Samba?”  If you’re a history buff, you may remember that this time last year, Bloise tweeted his departure from American Noodle Bar, which closed shortly thereafter.  Can someone get this man a press release for god’s sake?

♦ The pretty new girl on South Beach, The Bazaar by Jose Andres, has been the subject of much admiration this past week, including a full-on review by Frodnesor, a slimmed down “For Dummies” guide also posted by Frodnesor, and a selection of recommended mix-and-match tapas menus for under $100 over on Blind Tastes.

♦ Last up, Short Order came out with its annual Good, Great and Grudging guide to Miami Spice.  The Great? Area 31, BLT Steak, Bourbon Steak, Rusty Pelican, Scarpetta, Tantra, Two Chefs, Bond Street, City Hall, Edge Steak & Bar, Mercadito, Pubbelly, and Tuna’s Raw Bar & Grille.
