Top Chef: The Cruise was probably the punchline of a few jokes before it became an actual thing.  But now it’s an actual thing!  And it begins and ends here in Miami.  The ship is sailing from April 11-15, 2013 with stops in Key West and Cozumel.  The best part of the trip?  When a chef has to pack his knives and go, it’s literally off the end of a gangplank.  It will be satisfying to watch a few of those “cheftestants” take the plunge.

♦ ACME Bakery & Coffee, the new bakery in Midtown Miami, opened up softly this week and our favorite recap comes from the Burger Beast, who ate his way through many of the offerings.  And when he couldn’t finish off his french toast, Blue Collar owner Daniel Serfer shows up to take care of the leftovers.  That’s what friends are for.  While you’re at it, be sure to check out the first episode of The Grinder, Burger Beast’s new show produced by ChatChow.TV.

♦ Pour one out for Granny Feelgood’s.  Eater Miami reports that the courthouse adjacent eatery in Downtown Miami is on the market.  We’re hearing that Granny has been feeling lonely ever since Grunberg sold his deli on the other end of Flagler Street.
