Hello/Goodbye: Charcuterie turned into … charcuterie. Minibar opening soon.

by Ryan @ MRPR on December 10, 2009

Goodbye Charcuterie, a pioneer in the Design District that served old-school, sauce-heavy French that just didn’t age well in a neighborhood of avant-garde, farm-to-table/local/organic restaurants.

Hello minibar.  I stumbled across the signage driving through the Design District but after some investigation of their menu online, it is quickly becoming one of the openings that I’m most looking forward to.  I don’t know who is behind the operation and I don’t know if they can back up a promising menu with well executed food.  But take a look at the dinner menu and the dessert menu.  Some interesting dishes to try:  seared tuna/starfruit/ponzu sauce baguette; red quinoa/vegetables; chocolate bacon bits.

Anyone have more info on this place?  Any idea when it will be open?
