It’s a new year and what better way to start the year than a list of “resolutions.” Here’s a list of places I’d like to try this year. Some are brand new, others have been around for a while but I’ve just never been. This list is definitely subject to change…
1 ) Latin Burger & Taco Truck – Went on Saturday; great burger and even better pulled pork taco. I’ll be back.
2 ) D. Rodriguez Cuba – Went on Friday night; not great. It’s hard enough to get me to eat on South Beach. Lukewarm, uninspired, mediocre Cuban food is not the way to get me back.
3 ) Cafe Sharaku – Recommended by Chef Cory at NAOE many months back and I still haven’t been.
4 ) Marumi Sushi – Same as Cafe Sharaku, above.
5 ) Gabose – After reading this post a while back, I see that I really need to get up to Lauderhill.
6 ) Palme D’Or – It swept Zagat’s this year for food, decor, service.
7 ) Adriana – Recommended by friends, haven’t been yet.
8 ) Talula – Never been and only heard good things about the restaurant and the chefs/owners.
9 and 10 ) Q and Fin – Pretty soon Eismann will have a restaurant for each day of the year but until that happens I’ll try to keep up.
11 ) The Morgans Restaurant – Only doing breakfast/lunch now but expected to do dinner sometime in February or soon thereafter.
12 ) Norman’s 180 – Not open yet but I’ll be there when it does.

13) Cape Cod Room – Big fan of Fratelli Lyon so definitely need to check this new Ken Lyon restaurant out.
