The Last Steakhouse Ever (Hopefully)

by Ryan @ MRPR on January 7, 2010

STK is the steakhouse that cried wolf.  After countless “coming soon” tweets, dating back to November 10th, it is finally here.  Hoorah.  I hope they serve meat from a magical cow because if it is just another steakhouse then good luck with that.

Remember when the two steakhouses in Miami were The Forge and Christy’s?  And then you had the chains (Morton’s, Capital Grille, Ruth’s Chris, Houston’s, Smith & Wollensky).  And then slowly but surely everyone opened their own steakhouse, one per Miami resident.  That brought us, in no particular order, Prime 112, Red The Steakhouse, Tuscan Steak (R.I.P.), Kobe Club (R.I.P.), BLT Steak, Bourbon Steak, Manny’s (aka Miami Chop House), Prime Blue Grille (R.I.P.), Meat Market.  Not to mention the Brazilian joints (Grimpa, Porcao, Fogo de Chao, et al.).

So, here’s to STK and its magical beef.  I hope it is USDA ultra-premium or that its cut with unicorn meat.
