A Couple of Great Beers (and Where to Find Them)

by Ryan @ MRPR on November 14, 2009

The number of restaurants serving great beers has grown exponentially.  It wasn’t so long ago that Amstel Light was the exotic option at many restaurants and even liquor stores had a less than satisfactory beer selection.  Problem solved though.  You now have places like Total Wine on 140-something street and Biscayne in North Miami.  And restaurants like Bin 18, not to mention the brand-spanking-new Democratic Republic of Beer right behind the Arsht Center (400+ beers).  Anyways, here are two recent discoveries that have quickly become favorites:

Dale's Pale Ale

1) Dale’s Pale Ale (available at Red Light): It’s a fancy pale ale in an aluminum can.  There’s just something awesome about this.  For one thing, you can shotgun it.

Tripel Karmeliet

2) Tripel Karmeliet (available at Bin 18): This is a smooth beer, plus it is served in a chalice just like Lil Jon drinks out of.  Please don’t crunk and drive, though.
