Shake Shucks: No Golden Ticket

by Ryan @ MRPR on June 11, 2010

Eater Miami reports of an invitation-only “friends and family” event at Shake Shack on June 15th.  My invitation is obviously lost in the mail, although I did receive a restraining order asking that I stay away from Shake Shack on June 15th.  In other words, I’m getting some mixed messages.

It appears I’m going to have to wait in line on June 22nd 16th with the peons (or, as I like to call them, the pee-ons) even though I’ve eagerly anticipated the opening (here and a little bit here).

Be sure to drop a comment below if you’re one of the lucky few who gets to shake the shack on June 15th.

UPDATE: Short Order got an invite as well.  I think my loyal reader(s) need to riot.  Who else is going to describe to you the burgers and shakes in vivid detail without any photographs whatsoever?  Who else will talk about how the french fries look like Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s hair?  That’s right. I went there.

UPDATE 2: Burger Beast reports that Shake Shack will be open to the public on Wednesday, June 16th at 11:30am.  I strolled by last night and it looks ready to open, the stools are stacked on the tables, the neon lights are on, the faint aroma of Creekstone beef was wafting through the air (or that may just be the natural smell of that part of Lincoln Road)).
