The Grass is Dead

by Ryan @ MRPR on August 3, 2010

The Miami New Times’ music blog, Crossfade, reports that Design District stalwart Grass is closing and will host a “thank you” party tonight.  Also closing is the lounge/club The King is Dead, which was attached to Grass.

Grass had gone through a couple of resoddings, recently bringing in Top Chef alum Micah Edelstein for a short-lived run at the helm.  And one final pun: given that Pacific Time (across the street) also closed, it appears that the grass was not, in fact, greener on other side.  Rimshot.

Good riddance. Pretentious, over rated and the poster child for bad attitude in Miami dining.
