QUICK HITS:
♦ Jonathan Eismann confirms to Eater Miami that Q and Fin have been sold. No word yet on whether the restaurant inside of Fin is also sold (it’s called Lilliput).
♦ Casale is also closed, joining Barbu in the Sunset Harbour cemetery. R.I.P.
♦ Lest you get depressed, Vino e Olio is set to open in the Design District October 20th.
♦ Food & Wine magazine’s 40 Big Thinkers 40 & Under feature names Miami export and “food artist” Jennifer Rubell as numero uno for those who are “changing the way Americans eat and drink.” Rubell’s work is cutting edge and looks delicious.
♦ Esquire magazine names its 20 best new restaurants, but none are in Miami. I’m having a hard time thinking of a solid entry from Miami. Best I can come up with is Zuma. Post a comment below if you think they should have included a new Miami restaurant.
