January 11, 2011 Power Rankings

by Ryan @ MRPR on January 11, 2011

♦ On the next Bike Miami Day, MRPR suggests that all of the food trucks hop on bikes instead.  Food Bike Miami Days, we’ll call it.  That would reduce emissions by a whole lot.

For example, here’s the line-up for just one of the many food truck rallies around town (this one is on Saturdays in Wynwood): All Points Eatery, Burger Beast Truck, Caza Crepes, Cheese Me, Daddy’s Grill, Doggie Style, Sakaya Kitchen’s Dim Ssam a Go Go, Dos Lokos Burger, Dolci Piccati Gelato, gastropod, Grill Master Café, Jefe’s Original Fish Taco & Burgers, Latin Burger, Latin House Grill, Miso Hungry, Montaco, Ms Cheezious, Nacho’s Mamas, Nacho Bizness, Slow Food Truck, Sugar Rush, The Fish Box, The Mexzican Gourmet, The Red Truck, Yellow Submarine, Wing Commander, Wrapidito. (Hat tip: Eater Miami).

Hope you don’t get stuck behind them in traffic.

♦ And speaking of which, the Burger Beast now has a food truck.  But I’m still holding out for Mango & Lime’s new truck serving… mangoes and limes.

♦ The new Mint Leaf in Brickell was first announced ages ago and apparently has finished steeping.  They’ve announced a January 25th opening date.  Residents of Brickell will now rejoice with a Bollywood-style flash mob dance.

♦ And finally, the new Stephen Starr restaurant set to open this month at Bal Harbour Shops has a name: Makoto.
